Christopher Stuart
"Untitled Self Portrait" in progress, 2010
54x36in, charcoal on rag paper

so here's a new drawing in progress.  it represents the state of mind i was in at the time...  click, click, click.  that is- swamped with work, school, life.  when doing one thing, my mind was focusing on the next. it all started to blur into a dream like state.

Yeah Chris, this one is much more visually complete in terms of narrative but also formally - the surface and treatment of the medium. I like how you are playing with space - would like to encourage you to look at Antonio Lopez Garcia drawings and note how he portrays space on the bend - using curvilinear perspective. I think it would add to the surreal, dream-like state of your technical narrative in the drawing. This one is much more ambitious than the last, I like it very much! Keep it going bro!

thanks brian, i do love garcia's work. the bathroom scene with the bent space is very cool.

can't wait bro, put 'er up! by the way - we need to find a way to allow other bloggers to subscribe to our blog - there has been some interest in that, what do you think?

hey b- good idea. although i'm set up as an author, i don't have the ability to do it. since you're the creator, you can. just go to your dashboard and click on the design link. then go to where you add gadgets and add the subscribe link.
